As an Android Mobile Developer, you will be responsible for the delivery of technology solutions to clients in both project and managed service/support engagements. You will leverage your expertise in Android development and Salesforce integrations to build seamless, high-performance mobile applications.

About You:

You're the "roll-up-your-sleeves" type who is always willing to take on new and/or bigger challenges. You will be organised, adaptable, and capable of working across multiple projects and timelines. You will be a reliable source of information for each of the teams, with a curious mind, a desire to learn and excellent relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering all assigned mobile projects utilizing Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Researching, designing, implementing, and managing Android software programs.
  • Writing and implementing efficient code with proper unit testing.
  • Testing and evaluating new programs , and developing quality assurance procedures.
  • Identifying areas for modification in existing software and subsequently developing these modifications.
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems , and determining operational practicality.
  • Consistently adhering to best practices and standards on development, including the use of source control and related technologies such as Git and GitHub, as well as Salesforce Development Lifecycle tooling and technologies such as Salesforce DX.
  • Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Working closely with other developers, UX designers, project managers, business and systems analysts/architects.
  • Ensuring project documentation, both internal and external that is delivered, aligns to standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have experience or knowledge in object-oriented or functional programming languages, particularly Java or Kotlin for Android development (as well as Apex, JavaScript, or C#).
  • Experience or knowledge in cloud solutions and platforms, specifically Salesforce, Heroku, or Amazon Web Services.
  • Strongly highly preferred: Experience utilizing the Salesforce Mobile SDK for Android.
  • Familiarity with mobile frameworks/libraries.
  • Must have experience or knowledge in basic web technologies like HTML and CSS.
  • Experience or knowledge in unit test frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, Jest, or Mocha.
  • Knowledge and interest in cloud solutions, mobile/web development, and the latest technologies , with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a desire to probe further into data , alongside attention to feedback and a willingness to always improve outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and related domains.
  • Knowledge of applications, relational databases, and web technologies.
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
