The Lead Quality Analyst drives the overall testing strategy and quality assurance efforts across projects. They are responsible for team leadership, including assigning tasks and fostering collaboration among QA members. They oversee the implementation of testing processes, align testing goals with project objectives, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets. The QA Lead serves as the primary point of contact for quality-related discussions with stakeholders and ensures that testing aligns with business objectives. They ensure all project-wide quality standards are met, leveraging expertise and leadership to deliver consistent results. A Lead Quality Analyst is considered an industry expert, with a passion for expanding knowledge of technology and business operations. He/She is a technical connector, collaborator, and communicator with a strong bias towards user empathy and understanding problems before identifying solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements and collaborate with the Delivery Leads to contribute to User Story Acceptance Criteria, ensuring clear and testable project expectations.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to efficiently meet project deadlines and quality goals.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs, effectively communicating and working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Design, develop, and execute test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage for both new and existing features.
  • Continuously track and improve quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to ensure the highest level of software quality.
  • Apply testing processes for new and existing products, tailoring them to meet specific client needs and project requirements.
  • Perform thorough exploratory, functional, and regression testing to ensure the reliability, usability, and performance of software applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and other team members to identify and address potential quality issues early in the development process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, technologies, and testing methodologies to continually enhance the QA process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience of leading testing and quality assurance activities and a team.
  • Experience in developing test plans and writing test cases.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tenacious, detailed oriented and self motivated.
  • Experience of using JIRA or similar tools for defect tracking and management.
  • Experience with automation testing tools is an advantage.
  • A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Salesforce implementation or any other CRM implementation.
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum development practices.
  • Actively developing their professional network through participation in technology user groups, networking events, and technology organizations.
